Toffee and Pie

Toffee and Pie by Pippa Goodhart is a children’s book about two best friends, Toffee and Pie. Toffee is a small, brown dog with big, floppy ears. Pie is a big, black cat with bright green eyes. Toffee and Pie love to play together and go on adventures.
In the book, Toffee and Pie are playing in the park when they see a group of older children playing tag. Toffee wants to play too, but he’s afraid he’s too small. Pie tells him that he can do anything he sets his mind to. Toffee takes a deep breath and joins the game. He’s not very good at first, but he keeps trying. Eventually, he catches one of the older children and wins the game.
Toffee is so happy that he was able to do something that he was afraid of. He realizes that with Pie’s encouragement, he can do anything.
